Pour cette 75ème, on reste dans cette merveilleuse décennie des 70s (qu'on aura bien creusé !) et ce magnifique pays qu'est le Brésil (qu'on aura bien creusé aussi !). Bien moins magnifique, la dictature qui régnait sur le pays (1964-1985) et la censure qui tapait aura forcé les artistes à trouver des subterfuges : parfois poétiques, parfois migratoires, souvent les deux à la fois. Dans cette période politique intense, énormément d'albums furent enregistrés ; certains sont aujourd'hui des classiques de la MPB (Música popular brasileira), mais bien d'autres sont restés méconnus du grand public.. et ce jusqu’à aujourd'hui, car, grâce à Youtube et aux passionné.es qui publient les disques retrouvés au fin fonds des placards, nous pouvons nous aussi ouïr les pépites de cette époque ! J'en ai sélectionné une vingtaine et compte bien vous proposer un aperçu de la partie cachée de la MPB des années 70s. For this 75th, we stay in this wonderful decade of the 70s (which we will have dug well!) and this magnificent country that is Brazil (which we will have dug well too!). Much less magnificent, the dictatorship which reigned over the country (1964-1985) and the censorship which prevailed forced artists to find subterfuges: sometimes poetic, sometimes migratory, often both at the same time.
In this intense political period, a huge number of albums were recorded; some are today classics of the MPB (Música popular brasileira), but many others have remained unknown to the general public... and this until today, because, thanks to Youtube and the enthusiasts who publish the records found in the depths of the cupboards, we too can hear the nuggets of this era! I have selected around twenty and intend to give you an overview of the hidden part of the MPB of the 70s
